Stars are Souls is the YouTube name of Michael Lewis (Mike), an early flerf who also published as Mike Stars. In 2015 he was on a Vermont radio station talking flat young earth, and on Amazon with a 40-page picture book whose sales were supposed to buy an expedition past the ice. The 2015 channel was youtube.com/user/yourmajezty. The copies that still match his tapes, typos included, are on @Zero11s.
The on-screen title is usually the claim he is about to deny. Planets are Real is the planets-do-not-exist video. Aliens exist says aliens do not exist. Slavery was aboished (his spelling) is a video he introduces as "slavery still exists."
The name
On WVEW 107.7 the host closes with "talking to you, Mike."[1] The paperback is bylined Mike Stars.[2] A June 2015 writeup of the channel already calls him Michael Lewis, lists the YouTube user yourmajezty, the Facebook page mike.flatearthscientist, and an about box that said he studied at MIT and lived in Orlando.[3] Patricia Steere, who co-hosted with him at the start of Flat Earth and Other Hot Potatoes, later names the same man: Michael Lewis of Stars are Souls.[4]
The tapes confirm the Florida part. He says he is in Orlando and has been to an observatory there.[5] On the edge video he says he lives in Florida and has lived in New York.[6] The MIT line is the about box. It is not in these videos. The 7-Eleven video is titled Stars are Souls 7-11 was a part time job and the transcript is a few seconds of dead air, so the job is a title, not a story he actually tells.[7]
On a cruise-line call he gives the agent the name Chris, then dictates an old Gmail he spells as pantheist, then Lewis, L-E-W-I-S.[8] Chris is the cover. Lewis is the name he spelled.
What the videos are actually saying
He introduces Galaxies exist, Part 2 as "stars are spirits" and as part two of "galaxies don't exist." The Earth is flat. A telescope, he says, has never shown the body of a star, only the glare, "like if you're looking directly into a flashlight."[9]
Death does exist / Stars are spirits is the channel thesis in one sitting. Egyptians and Maya were right to aim tombs at the sky, because "there is no such thing as death." The body has electricity in it, "that electricity is becoming a star," the stars "are not that far away," and they are "living entities... balls of energy." Gravity is what puts that electricity in the grave. A positive mind, he says, and "you will become a star." The sun is "a bowl of electricity," not a ball of fire. He signs off with peace, blessings, Hotep, and a salaam in the same breath.[10]
Planets are Real is, in his words at the open, the video called planets don't exist. Stars and planets are "just celestial bodies... like distant moons." Dwarf planets are a filing trick. He is raising money, via the book, for telescopes and lasers.[11] Planets exist: Observatories explained is the Orlando observatory tape, and the one where the planet pictures will not hold still from frame to frame.[5]
Science World: Sun setting finally explained is the perspective model: the sun is going farther away, and the ground and sky only meet in your eye.[12] Science: Is there an edge is the missing southern route and the Antarctic treaty.[6] Science another concept is part two of that. He says he does not want to pretend he knows the plane goes on forever. The biblical dome, pillars, waters above the firmament, and a glass ceiling are "a very valid concept." His gripe is that he cannot picture the outside. NASA, he says, cannot go higher than 80 kilometers. He still closes by calling the round earth "total BS."[13]
Aliens exist is Project Blue Book as a fake invasion. "Aliens don't exist. There's no space up there." The black sky "is not space." Bill Cooper warned you.[14]
Slavery was aboished opens "this video entitled slavery still exists," and he says he is about to stop making videos until the book comes out. "Black" and "white," on this tape, are legal statuses rather than colors. He does not believe the transatlantic trade happened at the scale in the textbooks, because he has not seen the original boats, and he thinks African empires would have fought. Slavery now, in his version, is the part that is real.[15] In The ~ Symbols he talks through African American neighborhoods as "we," and the way out is reading, not the culture on television.[16]
Science: Why are they Experimenting is a top-ten hoax reel sitting next to the flat-earth pitch: 9/11, HIV, dinosaurs, Sandy Hook, nuclear weapons, the Moon landing, and a doubt about whether the atom is even there. Making people feel small in a vast cosmos, he says, is the point of the lie, because then harm is easier to justify. He also mentions his own videos going back to 2009.[17]
Old Earth / Dinosaurs existed is the dinosaur-does-not-exist series, told as a title that says the opposite. Challenger dead men are alive with the same names. Brontosaurus was deleted, so the textbooks are a menu. Mountains and caves are fast melts, not deep time. Evolution is a lie and adaptation is real: the gym, and a pregnant woman drinking, are his examples of change you can actually watch.[18][1]
Book, petition, ice
Beyond the Horizon: Modern Experiments That Confirm A Earth is a 40-page CreateSpace picture book, Kindle 23 May 2015, paperback 24 May 2015, ASIN B00Y78ETWQ, ISBN 1511905158, author Mike Stars.[2] On the radio, with the book still unfinished, he tells the host it deals with the flat young earth and should be out in June.[1] By They're Hiding Land the paperback is on Amazon and the pitch is an expedition. Search Change.org for "Mike stars." Modify the Antarctic Treaty, do not scrap it. He will "bet my life" on more land past the ice and travel in the cold to find it. Book money, he says, buys the equipment and the trip, which is why he would rather sell a book than run a GoFundMe. A sequel, Beyond the Horizon 2, is promised and more extensive.[19][11] He gives Math Boylan (Matthew Boylan) the shoutout as the flat-earth veteran who remembers him from years back, and he says Boylan's other views are not his.[11]
On that documentary he is also watching Antarctic webcams for a second light source and calling it a second sun. A dome is allowed as a hypothesis. He wants a photograph of the glass before he joins the dome church. The UN flag, in this telling, is already a flat-earth map.[19]
Time Lapse Videos are real is the book commercial with the review he is mad about ("religious skeptical nonsense") and the claim that star-trail circles are fisheye fakery.[20] The scientific mind set is Scott Kelly, a twin on the ground as a cover story, and the Pope's astronomer willing to baptize an alien. Christian observatories, he says, are how you smuggle aliens in and walk the creation story out.[21]
The cruise call
the universe Phone Call: No southern routes! is him ringing a cruise desk, asking for Sydney to Johannesburg, then anywhere in Australia to anywhere, and acting surprised that the Indian Ocean has no hop while a 38-day Sydney to Los Angeles sailing exists. He and "my girlfriend" might go at the end of the month, or in June. The name he gives is Chris. The email he then spells is the Lewis address. After he hangs up he talks to the camera about the agent not knowing what he is talking about.[8]
Leaving
Steere's account is that Lewis dragged her into making Flat Earth and Other Hot Potatoes, was her first guest, and did about three shows with her. He then got sick of the drama and quit. Her reason: the footprint would not fare well with his work. She files him with the early cohort who left, and she does not think they went back to the globe.[4] The slavery tape already has him planning to stop once the book is out.[15] The @Zero11s copies keep going a bit past that: Sigma Octantis in November 2016, drone photography in February 2017, and the 7-Eleven title in February 2021.[22][23][7]
Copies on @Zero11s
@Zero11s is a later channel with a lot of other people's material on it. These are the uploads whose titles match his tapes, including aboished. The date is when that channel listed the file. A pile of them share 29 January 2016, which is a dump of older tapes, not fifteen separate afternoons. The radio interview describes a book that is still unfinished for June, and the Amazon file is May 2015, so that conversation is from before the paperback even though the copy below is dated February 2016.
